Ancestors are tagged by the century when, and location where, they were born.

Geographic locations are named according to today’s names and borders.

I realize this will be an anachronism for most of the ancestors on this site, but the upside of this system is that it allows the website to be used easily, even without deep historical knowledge, and it also reduces the number of variations in locations (as borders changed so frequently throughout time).

For privacy’s sake, I am not including profile pages on any living relatives.

This website is very much a work in progress, and probably will be for the next several years.

If we share an ancestor, I would love to hear from you! If you have any information I am lacking, or you want to set the record straight about anyone whose story I have wrong, please also contact me.

Please feel free to leave comments, or email me directly at amberlita [at] gmail [dot] com – cheers!
